Mychal Kendricks says Redskins ‘got something coming to them’

Mychal Kendricks

To the surprise of many, the Redskins currently lead the NFC East at 7-7. However, the Eagles are right on their heels at 6-8 and the two teams meet on Saturday in Philadelphia. With the teams set to renew their rivalry, Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks got the trash talking started on Sunday.

The Eagles lost to the Cardinals Sunday night, which meant after the game was over it was time to start looking ahead to the game Redskins. That’s exactly what Kendricks did.

“If I know this team and I know myself and I know the guys in here, man, the Redskins got something coming to them,” Kendricks said via CSN Philly. “For real. And that’s real s–t. That’s all I’ve got to say.”

When you put it like that, I guess there isn’t much else to say.

To say next weekend’s game between the two teams is a big one would be a bit of an understatement. If Washington beats Philadelphia, the Redskins will clinch the NFC East division. A win by the Redskins would also eliminate the Eagles from playoff contention.

If Kendricks is right, and the Eagles bring it on Saturday, Philadelphia can keep its season alive for one more week. If not, the Redskins could be celebrating at Lincoln Financial Field.
