New York Jets give players ‘media bridge’ cards with phrase tips
The New York Jets PR department is notoriously quirky when it comes to dealing with the media. If you listen to “The Jim Rome Show,” you’ll know that Romey has long mocked the team for its policy of only wanting to keep things positive. I don’t know if the people who had that policy in place are still in charge, but those running the Jets media relations are doing what they can to help their players when it comes to dealing with the media.
New York Daily News Jets beat reporter Manish Mehta tweeted a few photos of the “media bridge” cards the Jets gave their players. The cards contain phrases the PR folks advise players to use when speaking with the media:

This isn’t exactly the list of rules the New England Patriots give their players for dealing with the media, but it’s still helpful. In essence, the Jets are giving their players helpful cliches to use. They could have spared themselves all the index cards and just showed their players this “Bull Durham” clip instead:
