Nick Foles refutes report that he turned down Browns trade
Nick Foles has refuted a report that says he turned down a trade to the Cleveland Browns.
Last week, NFL Media’s Mike Silver reported that the Browns offered the No. 35 overall pick in the draft to the Philadelphia Eagles for Foles. The report also said that the Eagles approached Foles about it and he turned down the deal.
Foles says that is not the case.
“I haven’t turned down anything. We haven’t talked about anything. That wasn’t a true statement at all,” Foles said Tuesday, via Philly.com.
The Eagles ended up reworking Foles’ contract and giving him an extra $2 million for the upcoming season. He can become a free agent after the year, at which point the reigning Super Bowl MVP should have plenty of suitors.
