Odell Beckham’s status for Week 2 reportedly ‘up in the air’
New York Giants fans have no idea what to expect from their team against the Detroit Lions Monday night, and a lot of that has to do with Odell Beckham Jr not being a lock to play. Based on the reports we have heard, it sounds like the star wide receiver is going to be a true game-time decision.
One source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter early Monday morning that Beckham’s status for Week 2 is “up in the air.”
As for whether Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. plays tonight vs the Lions, one source described it as "up in the air."

There have been a few positive reports about the Giants being optimistic Beckham will play, but Odell’s own recent assessment of his ankle injury left open the possibility that he could miss more games.
The Giants looked completely lost on offense without Beckham in Week 1. They managed just three points against the Dallas Cowboys, and Eli Manning completed 29-of-38 passes for 220 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. The Lions shouldn’t present as big of a challenge at home, but Beckham is clearly the most important piece of New York’s offense.
