Odell Beckham Jr. did not take part in team drills during mandatory minicamp this week, but Giants head coach Pat Shurmur does not expect the star receiver to be limited for much longer.
Shurmur told reporters on Thursday that he has been given “no reason to believe” Beckham will not be 100 percent cleared by the time training camp begins next month.
Pat Shurmur says he expects Odell Beckham to report to Giants training camp on time and he has “no reason to believe” he won’t be able to participate fully in all drills.

Beckham underwent ankle surgery last October, and there’s a chance he might not want to risk suffering a setback or another serious injury without a long-term contract extension in place. While he could hold out for a new contract later in the offseason, Beckham has given no indications to this point that he is going to go that route.
Beckham is entering the final year of his rookie contract, so it’s no surprise he wants a new deal. The Giants are reportedly waiting before giving him the extension for a couple of different reasons.
