Patrick Willis slams reports he’s considering a return
Patrick Willis took to social media to blast a report that he was considering a return to the 49ers in 2016.
Jason Cole of Bleacher Report said Wednesday that Willis, who retired at the age of 30 during the offseason, was considering a return to the team next season. Willis caught wind of that story, and he very clearly refuted it with an all-caps denial on social media.
“I MADE MY DECISION BACK IN APRIL. AND I HAVEN’T THOUGHT TWICE ABOUT…PLAYING ANOTHER DOWN IN THE NFL…PERIOD‼‼‼,” Willis wrote, via CSN Bay Area’s Matt Maiocco. “SO QUIT TRYING TO BRING LIFE; on a CHAPTER that I have already CLOSED IN MY HEART and MIND.”
Willis doesn’t seem to be leaving any room to change his mind, so Niners fans will have to let go of that dream.
