Patriots claim Michael Floyd off waivers
The New England Patriots have claimed Michael Floyd off waivers, according to reports.
Floyd was cut by the Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday following his DUI arrest on Monday where he was found unconscious at the wheel.
Floyd was having a disappointing season for Arizona. He had just 33 catches for 446 yards and four touchdowns this season. That followed two straight six-touchdown seasons and a 1,000-yard season in 2013.
If the Patriots were able to claim the wide receiver, that means nearly every team in the NFL passed on him, because thanks to their record, the Pats and Cowboys are last in waiver claims.
Floyd is set to be a free agent in March.
