Patriots still ‘optimistic’ Tom Brady’s missing jersey will be recovered

Tom Brady

It has been six weeks since the New England Patriots pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in sports history to beat the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl, and the jersey Tom Brady wore while orchestrating the win remains missing. Is there any chance of that changing?

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reached out to the Patriots on Sunday to get an update on the jersey search, and team spokesman Stacy James expressed confidence that the case will be solved.

“We know that there are many agencies working on it and I think we are all hopefully optimistic that it will get resolved soon,” James wrote in an email.

Authorities have been looking for the jersey, which Brady’s camp has valued at $500,000. Team owner Robert Kraft hinted that progress was being made in the search about a month ago, yet here we are.

It remains unclear exactly when or how Brady’s jersey was swiped, though the five-time Super Bowl champion cracked a great joke about it a few weeks back. With all the reporters and cameras that were around after Super Bowl LI, you’d think somebody would have helpful information about the whereabouts of the threads.
