Patriots honor suspended QB Tom Brady with massive photo at stadium

Tom Brady photo

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady may be gone (for four games), but he’s most certainly not forgotten.

In a strong showing of support for their franchise player, the Patriots unveiled a massive photo of Brady that now adorns the lighthouse outside of Gillette Stadium.

The photo, which is half the size of the lighthouse it rests on, can be seen for several blocks.

Whether or not the Patriots intend to leave the image up during the four weeks in which Brady is suspended for his involvement in DeflateGate remains to be seen, but in its current form, it delivers an obvious message to the NFL and league commissioner Roger Goodell.

Although impressive and bold, this type of support isn’t entirely new to the NFL. Back when Sean Payton was suspended for a full year over BountyGate, the New Orleans Saints put up a huge photo of him in their practice area with the caption “Do your job!”

The Patriots could have actually taken it a step further and kept Brady on their 53-man roster during his suspension, but opted to go with an extra player instead.
