Paul Kruger calls out Browns for making ‘wrong decision’ to release him

paul-kruger

The Cleveland Browns released linebacker Paul Kruger on Monday with two years left on a five year, $40.5 million deal. Kruger himself believes that the team is making a big mistake.

Kruger issued a statement on Twitter shortly after his release went public, customarily thanking the organization and his teammates, but he ended with a rather defiant statement.

Kruger collected just 2.5 sacks in 2015 after racking up 11 in 2014, and he was going to be a pretty hefty cap hit. It’s no surprise, with that in mind, that he was among the Browns’ cuts, no matter what he thinks. It’s worth noting, however, that he seems to be a lot less happy about being released than a former teammate of his was earlier in the offseason.
