Paxton Lynch hangs out with Cleveland Browns

Paxton Lynch

Did the Cleveland Browns tip off some interest in a potential quarterback at the top of the draft? It seems so.

Former Memphis Tigers standout quarterback Paxton Lynch was spotted hanging out with new Browns head coach Hue Jackson and other members of the Cleveland crew during a Super Bowl party on Saturday:

The Browns will have the second pick in the draft and are no doubt in the market for a quarterback. They currently have Josh McCown and Austin Davis on their depth chart, both of whom are not supremely appealing options.

Lynch, along with North Dakota State’s Carson Wentz and Cal’s Jared Goff, is considered to be one of the top prospects at the quarterback position. He was a three-year starter at Memphis and decided to leave following his successful junior season that saw him throw for 3,776 yards and 28 touchdowns compared to just four interceptions. Despite being listed at 6-foot-7 and 245 pounds, Lynch can run. He rushed for 17 touchdowns during his career, including 13 as a sophomore in the 2014 season.
