Pete Carroll makes it sound like Seahawks will keep Trevone Boykin

Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll indicated that backup quarterback Trevone Boykin’s recent arrest might not necessarily mark the end of his time with the team.

Carroll told ESPN 710 Seattle that the team will look at all the information surrounding Boykin’s arrest, but seemed inclined to offer him another chance.

“We’ll see. We’ll see what happens here. We have some information to get through,” Carroll said, via Brady Henderson of ESPN 710. “There’s plenty of time to figure this out. Early indications are that everything will give him an opportunity to be back with us. We’ll see what happens, though. And then we’re always looking. We’re always looking for the right guy, and we’ll see what happens.”

Boykin was involved in a car accident that may have serious consequences for him. It’s interesting that Seattle would so commit to their backup quarterback, but they may just be seeing how things play out.
