Peyton Manning has great reaction to Al Jazeera America shutting down
Al Jazeera America announced on Wednesday its plans to cease operation by the end of April, and we know one NFL quarterback who will not be shedding a tear for the organization.
When asked about the New York Times report explaining Al Jazeera America’s decision to bow out of the U.S. media marketplace, Peyton Manning had a perfect response.
Peyton Manning on news Al-Jazeera America shutting down: "I'm sure that's just devastating to all their viewers." Yes, he was sarcastic.

Al Jazeera, of course, is the network that recently pointed the finger at Manning and his wife, claiming that Ashley Manning received numerous illegal shipments of human growth hormone when Peyton was recovering from neck surgery in 2011. Manning has not denied that his wife had a prescription from the Indianapolis clinic where he admits he was treated, but he has vehemently denied taking anything that was prescribed to his wife or any banned substances in general.
Of course, the timing of the announcement will be perfect for Manning fans and supporters. While Al Jazeera is still a legitimate news organization, many will take its decision to close its American division as evidence to the contrary. We know one NFL analyst who is probably happy to hear it.
