Police respond to altercation between Johnny Manziel and girlfriend
Johnny Manziel just can’t help himself.
Fort Worth police confirmed to CBS News that police were called early Saturday to respond to a domestic altercation involving the Browns quarterback and his girlfriend.
According to a police spokesperson, Manziel was not arrested and a report was in the process of being compiled. There are no real details of what, exactly, took place.
The identity of the girlfriend is unknown. There were rumors that Manziel had split with longtime girlfriend Colleen Crowley, but that may not be the case after all, as according to ProFootballTalk she lives in the Fort Worth area.
Manziel also dealt with the police in October over an argument with Crowley. She also allegedly accompanied Manziel to his ill-fated trip to Las Vegas last month. One report even stated that the Browns knew how turbulent the relationship was and hoped it would end. And that doesn’t even include all the party videos that he lied to the Browns about and the reports that he showed up to team facilities drunk.
Whatever the case, Manziel clearly needs help. The guy’s life is a mess. The Browns, it seems, will be rid of him soon, and it’s increasingly difficult to imagine NFL teams queuing up for his services.
