Raiders, Lions make the most sense for Adrian Peterson?
The Vikings’ decision to sign Latavius Murray this week means the Adrian Peterson era in Minnesota has come to an end. It also opens up a backfield spot with the Oakland Raiders, and it might make sense for Peterson to fill it.
With the Vikings signing Murray, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports says the Raiders and Detroit Lions are two teams to watch for Peterson.
With Lacy landing in Seattle and Murray landing in Minnesota, would keep an eye on OAK, DET as possible landing spots for AP at right price

For what it’s worth, ESPN’s Adam Caplan said last week that Peterson was more interested in joining the Raiders than they were in adding him. That was before Murray moved on, however, so it’s possible things could change.
The contract Eddie Lacy signed with the Seattle Seahawks — who were also interested in Peterson — likely indicates that A.P. wants too much money. There’s no question he is one of the best backs in the NFL when fully healthy, but he’ll turn 32 next week and is coming off a season in which he rushed for just 1.9 yards while playing limited time due to another serious knee injury.
Peterson can bounce back, but he has to lower his financial expectations. One team Peterson was openly interested in a while back has not reciprocated, so his options appear very limited.
