Rams reportedly give Sam Bradford permission to seek trade
The St. Louis Rams reportedly have given Sam Bradford permission to seek a trade, though the team’s GM indicates they still want to bring back the former No. 1 overall pick.
CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora reported Wednesday that the Rams have given Bradford permission to seek a trade.
Sam Bradford has permission to seek a trade. Finding compensation to Rams' liking will be difficult. But his agent can speak to other teams

La Canfora specified that even though the Rams have given Bradford permission to look for a deal, a contract restructuring may be the most likely outcome:
In the end, Rams working out a restructured contract w/Bradford still may be most likely outcome. Thought it's been slow process thus far

Shortly after La Canfora’s report, Rams GM Les Snead spoke with the media and was asked about the team’s plans for Bradford. Here’s how The Boston Globe’s Ben Volin described his exchange with Snead:
Just asked Snead about that @JasonLaCanfora report on Bradford. He kinda dodged the question but said, “deleting him isn’t the answer.”

Bradford missed the entire season after injuring his knee in the preseason (on a play he was barely touched no less) — his second consecutive season that ended due to a torn ACL. He is set to make nearly $13 million next season, which the Rams would like to reduce.
Bradford has only played two full seasons out of five possible ones since being drafted, but he is still much better than the alternatives. If the Rams could restructure his deal, that would be great for them and would probably put them in position to be competitive next season.
