Randy Gregory eligible to practice, play for Cowboys

The already dangerous Dallas Cowboys could be getting even better.

DallasCowboys.com writer David Helman said on Sunday night after the Cowboys’ win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that Randy Gregory is eligible to return to practice and can play next week.

Gregory was suspended 14 games for multiple violations of the league’s substance abuse policy. He was suspended the first four games of the season and then was hit with a 10-game suspension. He was facing an even longer suspension after another failed drug test, but apparently the NFL has cleared him to return.

Gregory, who was a second round pick of the Cowboys in 2015, checked into treatment over the summer. He had 11 tackles last season for the Cowboys.
