Ravens gave away fake field goal attempt
During Sunday’s game between the Redskins and Ravens, Baltimore attempted a fake field goal that seemingly everyone knew was coming.
Late in the second quarter, the Ravens were facing 4th-and-12 on the Redskins’ 17 yard line. So, when Justin Tucker and the special teams unit came onto the field, everyone assumed Baltimore was going to attempt a 35-yard field goal. However, when Tucker lined up to kick, he did so as if he is a left-footed kicker, which he is not.

The result was Tucker throwing an incomplete pass to tight end Crocket Gillmore, who was open but Tucker’s pass failed to reach him. After the game, Tucker defended the play.
“Our thinking was that if our guys in practice didn’t notice it, and we have some smart players on the other side of the ball, then we’d have a chance to put one over on somebody on game day,” Tucker said, via CSN Mid-Atlantic.
That will probably be the last time see see the Ravens try to put one over on somebody in that fashion.
