Redskins revealed to be running supposed fan Twitter account
The Washington Redskins’ social media team made a major mistake on Sunday that led to the revelation that they are actually running a Twitter account that was supposedly one started by fans.
DC Sports Bog’s Dan Steinberg noted the matter on Twitter when he captured screenshots showing identical tweets sent from both the Redskins’ official account and a Redskins Facts Twitter account during the team’s game against the Chicago Bears. Here are the screenshots:

What’s more is that the “Redskins Facts” account is actual propaganda. The “bio” section for the account describes it as “RedskinsFacts.com is a growing online community of passionate Washington Redskins fans and others who support the team’s use of its name and logo.”
So now you have a team-controlled Twitter account, posing as a fan account, freely admitting its mission is to support the team’s controversial name and logo.
This is easily the biggest Redskins-related social media blunder since the one involving RG3.
