Report: Carlos Hyde to sign three-year deal with Browns

Carlos Hyde

The Cleveland Browns entered the offseason with a plethora of salary cap space, and new general manager John Dorsey is using that money to revamp his roster.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the Browns have agreed to a three-year, $15 million deal with free agent running back Carlos Hyde.

Hyde spent the first four seasons of his career with the San Francisco 49ers. He appeared in all 16 games in 2017 and rushed for 940 yards and eight touchdowns. He also took on a much bigger role in the passing game, catching 59 passes for 350 yards.

In addition to signing Hyde, the Browns have traded for Tyrod Taylor and Jarvis Landry, whom they will likely sign to a lucrative extension. We saw the way fans reacted to an insane day of trades in Cleveland over the weekend, and it’s clear Dorsey is not done making moves yet. When your team fails to win a single game, a lot of changes are needed.
