Reuben Foster’s ex-girlfriend admits domestic violence claim was ‘money scheme’

Reuben Foster

Elissa Ennis, the ex-girlfriend of Reuben Foster, testified in court on Thursday that she lied about the San Francisco 49ers linebacker assaulting her, and she says money was her motive.

Ennis gave a shocking testimony in which she adamantly stated that Foster never hit her once. She also admitted to attacking Foster with a clothes hanger and threatening to ruin his career.

Ennis then took things a step further, telling the court she simply wanted money and that she even stole money and jewelry from Foster after he had been arrested.

Ennis initially claimed back in February that Foster struck her 10 times and dragged her down a flight of stairs before throwing her out of his home. She also said he broke her cell phone to stop her from calling the police, which Foster has admitted to doing. The police report from the incident also indicated that Ennis accused Foster of abusing her dog.

Prosecutors are still deciding whether to pursue charges against Foster, though it seems like their case will be very weak after hearing Ennis’ testimony. Police saw injuries on Ennis when they arrested Foster, but she later said she sustained them in a fight with another woman.
