Rich Eisen’s 48-foot production truck stolen, part of it recovered

Stealing a car seems like it would be a difficult task. Stealing a 48-foot television production truck seems damn near impossible, but someone found a way to take one from Rich Eisen on Wednesday.

According to the Miami Herald, Eisen’s 48-foot, state-of-the-art production truck was taken from a parking lot in Miami Lakes and later recovered. Eisen and company are in Miami for Thursday night’s game between the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins.

Police found the trailer itself in Northwest Dade several hours later, and they say it did not appear that anything had been damaged or stolen. The cab of the truck was still missing.

Eisen tweeted on Thursday that a replacement truck had arrived at SunLife Stadium, so the DirecTV and CBS broadcasts are expected to take place without interruption. I would assume most of the important stuff the crew needed was in the trailer and not the cab, so they’re lucky they at least found that part of it.

If you have any information on the Rich Eisen truck bandit, be sure to contact the authorities immediately.
