No team has come close on asking price for Richard Sherman trade
Richard Sherman may be available for a trade, but that does not necessarily mean he will be dealt, especially based on Seattle’s high asking price.
NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo reports that the Seahawks are seeking a first-round pick and mid-round pick for the cornerback. That means a team would have to give up a first and third or fourth-rounder in order to acquire Sherman from Seattle, per Garafolo.
Garafolo says no team has come close on Seattle’s asking price for Sherman. He believes that if someone does, it will be around the time of the NFL Draft.

None of this should come as a surprise. We previously heard that Seattle was seeking a very good player and high draft pick in return for Sherman, if a team decided to trade a player instead of an extra pick.
There has also been conflicting information about who initiated the trade talks, with a recent report saying it was Sherman who requested a trade. Given how much Seattle values him, he may not get his way.
