Rob Gronkowski leaves practice with injury
Rob Gronkowski left practice on Monday with what appeared to be some sort of injury.
Several New England Patriots reporters observed Gronkowski come up a bit lame during 7-on-7 drills after attempting to catch a pass from Tom Brady. He walked gingerly toward the sideline and met with the trainer before leaving the field under his own power.
While it doesn’t sound like the injury was anything serious, this is the second injury scare this month for the Patriots in practice. Julian Edelman left practice last week after tweaking his surgically-repaired foot, though he returned the next day.
Gronkowski, who is the most important player in New England’s offense aside from Brady, has a long injury history. It was recently revealed that he dealt with another injury during the offseason, though the latest one appears unrelated to that.
