Report: Rob Gronkowski will not attend start of offseason workouts
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has yet to say whether he plans to play in 2018, and it does not sound like fans are going to get any clarity on the situation when offseason workouts begin on Monday.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Gronkowski is not planning to attend the start of the Patriots’ offseason program.
Like Patriots’ QB Tom Brady, TE Rob Gronkowski will not attend the start of New England’s off-season program Monday, per source.
Gronkowski still is considering whether to play the upcoming 2018 season, and has had “good communication” with the Patriots, per source.

As Schefter mentioned, Tom Brady will also be absent on Monday, but Albert Breer of The MMQB reported this week that the 40-year-old quarterback will be in Qatar doing work with his charity. He is expected to fly back on Monday evening.
Given the circumstances, Gronkowski’s absence is a lot more noteworthy than Brady’s. There have been more than a few indications that Gronk’s relationship with Bill Belichick is not in a good place, and it’s also possible that the star tight end could be looking for a new contract. Until he announces a decision regarding his retirement, plenty of questions will remain.
