Rob Gronkowski out for Week 12 against 49ers
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski did not practice for the third straight day on Friday, and that indicates that he probably won’t suit up Sunday against San Francisco.
Gronkowski took a big hit in Sunday night’s game against Seattle, and it will likely cost him the chance to play in Week 12.

This is not entirely unexpected. Gronkowski missing a game was well within the realm of possibility following the initial diagnosis. New England will hope that they can handle a subpar 49ers team without him.
UPDATE: According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Gronkowski will not even be on the team plane to San Francisco, thus ruling him out of Sunday’s game.
