Rob Gronkowski removed from Week 3 injury report

Rob Gronkowski

Rob Gronkowski’s time on the Week 3 injury report was brief.

Gronk was added to the injury report on Thursday because of his ankle, but on Friday, he was no longer listed on it. The tight end practiced in full on Friday, a day after being limited. His progression is a good sign about his status for Sunday.

The New England Patriots face the Lions in Detroit on Sunday night. Gronk will be looking to have a bounce-back game after having just two catches for 15 yards in a Week 2 loss at Jacksonville. The tight end caught seven passes for 123 yards and a touchdown in Week 1 against Houston.

The bigger question for the Patriots becomes what kind of role will Josh Gordon have in the game. Not only will he be new to the Pats’ offense, but he also is recovering from a hamstring injury.
