Rob Ryan goes on NFL Network, makes Katrina joke (Video)
Rob Ryan made an appearance on NFL Network Sunday morning, and things did not go very well.
It started off promisingly enough, as Ryan delivered a pretty good line about how Washington turned his bye week into a bye-bye week.
Things took a turn for the worse, though, when Ryan reflected on his firing, saying that Saints fans blame him for everything. That includes Hurricane Katrina.
Rich Eisen’s facepalm says it all. Katrina jokes are a no-no. I hope Ryan wasn’t counting on a full-time media gig after his firing by the Saints, because he’s probably not getting one with more attempts at comedy like that one. Between Rob’s remark and the S-bomb Rex Ryan dropped earlier this week, the Ryan twins have had themselves a banner week.
