Robert Griffin III repeats that he’s ‘focused on San Francisco’ (Video)

With all the drama surrounding the Washington Redskins, it can’t be fun for Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III to take the podium this week. During his scheduled press conference on Wednesday, RG3 decided to repeat the same phrase over and over instead of giving the media another juicy headline.

As For the Win noted, Griffin repeated the phrase “focused on San Francisco” nine times during his chat with reporters. In other words, he pulled a Rasheed Wallace.

After Sunday’s loss to the Tampa Bay Bucs, RG3 made some comments about his teammates that have resulted in criticism — mostly because of the way NBC framed them during its Sunday Night Football broadcast. Redskins coach Jay Gruden later ripped RG3 and said the quarterback should worry about himself.

If Griffin’s approach on Tuesday looks familiar, it’s not just because Wallace made it famous. Both Arian Foster and Cam Newton did the same thing earlier this year.
