Report: Robert Griffin III could be out ‘a while’ with shoulder injury
Cleveland Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III suffered a shoulder injury on Sunday, and early indications are it is serious enough that he could miss Week 2 and beyond.
Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com says Griffin appeared to be in pain Monday and underwent an MRI, which led her to the conclusion that he could miss Cleveland’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. Not long after, Peter Schrager of FOX Sports reported that RG3 could be out for “a while.”
Word I'm hearing out of Cleveland is that RG3 is hurt. And could be out for a while. More to come. @NFLonFOX

Griffin, who has had trouble staying healthy throughout his career, took a hard hit on Sunday to his non-throwing shoulder (video here). He was able to remain in the game, but the results were not good. RG3 ended up completing 12-of-26 passes for 190 yards, no touchdowns and an interception.
If Griffin misses Week 2 and beyond, veteran Josh McCown would start in his place.
