Roger Goodell ran 40-yard dash to benefit charity (Video)
The NFL is an extremely lucrative money maker and commissioner Roger Goodell certainly takes home his share. In 2013, he made $35 million. On Wednesday, Goodell helped raise money to benefit a worthy cause.
Goodell ran a 40-yard dash at the NFL’s office in New York as part of the “Run Rich Run” campaign that will raise money for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The commissioner clocked in with a time of 5.53 seconds.
NFL Network’s Rich Eisen will also be participating. Eisen has run the sprint during the NFL Scouting Combine each year for the past 10 years. In 2014, he set a personal best, coming in at 5.98 seconds. Eisen has a little bit of work to do to catch Goodell, but let’s not rule it out.
