Russell Wilson downplays severity of latest injury problem

Russell Wilson Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is hurting, but he doesn’t think it is anything that will keep him from playing.

Having already dealt with ankle and MCL injuries during the season, Wilson is now coping with a right pectoral injury. He said that, while sore, it’s not bad and he does not expect it to keep him out for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.

“It’s a little sore but I think we’ll be fine and get over it and just continue to rehab at the highest level as much as I can,” Wilson said Thursday, via Curtis Crabtree of ProFootballTalk. “It’s not crazy bad or anything like that, just treat it as much as I can, try to be smart this week.”

Will Wilson restart his crazy recovery work again? Who knows. It remains to be seen how much this issue will impact him on the field.
