Russell Wilson reportedly would not mind Kaepernick as teammate

The talks about Colin Kaepernick potentially joining the Seattle Seahawks are heating up, and it seems like all signs are pointing to such a signing not being an issue.

NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport tweeted on Tuesday that Seahawks starting quarterback Russell Wilson would not have an issue with the team bringing in Kaepernick as his backup.

Kaepernick quarterback the rival San Francisco 49ers the past five years, though the rivalry has become much less of one the past two years. The failures of the Niners and drop in play from Kaepernick probably has Wilson not feeling too threatened about his job.

The real big issue with Seattle — or any team — signing Kaepernick is the potential disharmony in the locker room. Kaepernick’s social activism and actions last year, like kneeling for the anthem, leaves many offended and could cause locker room tensions. The Seahawks’ interest in Kaepernick is said to be legit.
