Ryan Fitzpatrick briefly leaves game after blow to knee
New York Jets quarterback Ryan Fitpatrick briefly left Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday after taking a blow to his knee.
Fitzpatrick was replaced by Bryce Petty to start the fourth quarter, as he became the second Jets quarterback to suffer an injury this year. He did return, though, after a brief absence.

Fitzpatrick did ultimately return, with one former NFL team doctor saying the injury looked, on video, like a mild hyperextension.

For at least a brief moment, this Jets legend had a chance to see the quarterback he wanted to see. Unfortunately for him, it was short-lived.
