Watch: Ryan Shazier walks across stage to announce Steelers’ draft pick

Ryan Shazier NFL Draft

One of the best moments of the NFL Draft occurred when the 28th pick was announced.

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier walked across the stage to announce the pick, which was Terrell Edmunds by the Steelers.

Shazier was holding his fiancee’s hand as he walked up to the microphone at AT&T Stadium to announce the pick. He then stood with Roger Goodell and Edmunds to take photos.

Shazier suffered a spinal injury against the Cincinnati Bengals in December and is still recovering, though it’s clear he’s making significant progress. He has been all over the sports scene in the past months, going to Steelers, Penguins, March Madness, and an Ohio State game.

Shazier will not play next season, but he still says his goal is to make the Hall of Fame.
