Ryan Tannehill reportedly will start for Dolphins in Week 4
Ryan Tannehill is reportedly set to start in Week 4 for the Miami Dolphins despite head coach Joe Philbin playing coy with the media this week.
NFL Network reporter Jeff Darlington, who has ties to the Dolphins organization going back to his days with The Miami Herald, tweeted the following on Tuesday:
While Philbin continues to dance around questions about Ryan Tannehill’s status, here is the truth: Tannehill is scheduled to start Sunday.

The Herald’s Armando Salguero also said it seemed obvious to many Dolphins players in the locker room that Tannehill would be starting.
This all comes after The Herald reported Monday that Dolphins coaches were meeting to discuss whether to make a change at quarterback. Philbin would not give a solid answer regarding who would be the team’s starting QB.
The Dolphins are 1-2 and lost at home to the Chiefs 34-15 in Week 3, with Tannehill only going 21/43 for 205 yards and a touchdown. The team only scored 10 points in a Week 2 loss at Buffalo. They’re obviously dissatisfied with the former first-round pick over the past two weeks, but it’s too early to make a change. They’ll probably give him another start before thinking about making a switch to Matt Moore.
