Saints Super Bowl ring for sale on Craigslist

Saints Super Bowl ring

A New Orleans Saints Super Bowl ring from the team’s 2009 season is listed for sale on Craigslist in Atlanta.

According to the posting on Craigslist, the ring is being sold by a former Saints player. The same player is also selling an autographed Saints helmet that was signed by Drew Brees, Reggie Bush, Darren Sharper and Jeremy Shockey. The ring is listed for $45,000, while the helmet is listed for $3,500.

Here is the description of the ring for sale:

Attention New Orleans Saints fans!!! An opportunity has opened for one lucky fan to be the proud owner of a genuine, authentic 2009 New Orleans Saints Super Bowl ring. The ring is currently owned by a former Saints player. It is in perfect condition boasting 103 round, brilliant cut diamonds weighing 2.20 carats total weight, H color, VS clarity range.

The fleur-de-lis team logo is fully encompassed and surrounded with diamonds. The remainder of the ring is 14K gold.

The ring features the logos Super Bowl XLIV and Saints 31 Colts 17, 02-07-10 Miami, FL.

Manufactured by Tiffany & Co.

The wooden presentation box and paperwork validating the authenticity are also included.

Don’t let this unique opportunity to own a piece of New Orleans Saints history pass you by.

Asking price is negotiable. Serious inquiries only.

Nola.com says the autographed helmet has the No. 29 on the back, leading them to believe it belongs to either Chris McAlister, Marcus McCauley or Herana-Daze Jones, as all three wore that number that season. Nola speculates that McAlister could be the one selling the items because he had financial problems recently, claiming he was broke and living with his parents.

Best of luck to the player selling the items. Though based on what they got at auction for the Mets bullpen car, we we recommend using Sotheby’s instead.
