Sam Bradford listed behind Shaun Hill on Vikings’ Week 1 depth chart
The Minnesota Vikings’ starting quarterback job won’t be Sam Bradford’s for the taking right away.
The Vikings released their unofficial depth chart for Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday, listing Bradford behind veteran Shaun Hill.

The 28-year-old Bradford was acquired by the team from the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday in exchange for a first-round pick. Such a move likely became necessary after Teddy Bridgewater suffered a devastating knee injury in practice last week that will sideline him for at least the entire 2016 season.
Bradford is easily a more talented quarterback than Hill, but he will need some time to learn the playbook and the way that the Vikings operate. The team will likely opt to bring the former Heisman winner along slowly before ultimately handing him their starting signal-caller duties, especially given the price that they paid in order to get him.
