Sam Bradford traded to Eagles for Nick Foles

Sam BradfordSam Bradford appears to be heading to the Philadelphia Eagles in a trade for Nick Foles and draft pick compensation.

The Eagles are getting Bradford and a 5th-round pick in this year’s draft from the Rams for Foles, a 4th-round pick this year, and a 2nd-round pick in 2016.

Bradford missed all of last season with a torn ACL and also suffered a season-ending torn ACL in 2013, but apparently Philly likes the former No. 1 overall pick.

The Rams wanted Bradford to take a pay cut, but he resisted. The team then gave him permission to seek a trade, though they publicly denied that report. Apparently that report was accurate as he is being dealt to Philly.

Foles also suffered a season-ending injury last season after breaking his collarbone in late November. After throwing for 27 touchdowns and only two interceptions during a breakout season in 2013, the University of Arizona product regressed last season, throwing for just 13 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

The acquisition of Bradford by the Eagles makes you wonder how this impacts them trading up for Marcus Mariota. This also reunites Bradford with current Eagles offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, who was St. Louis’ OC when Bradford was drafted.
