Pete Carroll: Seahawks have considered Colin Kaepernick, Robert Griffin III

Colin Kaepernick

The Seattle Seahawks are trying to add depth at quarterback behind Russell Wilson, and they have eyed two prominent names.

Coach Pete Carroll told ESPN 710 Seattle’s “Brock and Salk” show that Colin Kaepernick and Robert Griffin III are among the players being looked at as depth.

“We’re looking at everybody. We really are,” Carroll said, via ESPN’s Sheil Kapadia. “We’ve been tracking everything that’s going on, and we’ve got cap and roster issues and stuff like that that we’re still trying to manage properly. But quite frankly, yes, we are looking at all those guys.”

Things apparently haven’t progressed enough for the Seahawks to make contact with Kaepernick, but it’s something to watch, though Wilson is firmly entrenched as the team’s starter.
