Seahawks awarded controversial touchdown catch
The Seattle Seahawks benefited yet again from a controversial call on a bomb in the end zone.
The Seahawks ran a flea-flicker like trick play in the fourth quarter of their game against the New York Giants. Russell Wilson pitched to J.D. McKissic, who then threw it back to Wilson, who bombed one into the end zone for Paul Richardson.
Richardson had Landon Collins beat by a few steps and went up for the ball. He caught it and was starting to bring it down for possession when Collins got involved and grabbed the ball too.

It was difficult to tell based on the TV angles who had possession of the ball because both players were grabbing for it.
The call on the field was a touchdown. Officials reviewed the scoring play and decided not to overturn the initial ruling due to simultaneous possession, giving Seattle the touchdown and a 16-7 lead. Five years ago the Seahawks beat the Packers on the infamous Fail Mary call in the end zone.
