Seahawks GM believes Marshawn Lynch is ‘leaning toward retirement’
Seahawks general manager John Schneider believes Marshawn Lynch is thinking of retiring.
Schneider appeared on ESPN Radio 710’s “Brock and Salk” show to discuss the team, and he was inevitably asked about the future of his running back.
“I would have no idea,” Schneider said. “I just know that we’re gonna treat him with as much respect as we possibly can here and give him a little leeway to find his way in terms of what he wants to do, but I’m under the impression that he’s leaning toward retirement.”
Lynch is still just 29, but his body has taken a pounding, and this is not the first time he has allegedly considered stepping away. It’s been widely reported that the Seahawks might just cut Lynch this offseason anyway, even if he doesn’t retire.
