Report: No team close to meeting trade price for Richard Sherman
Richard Sherman made headlines on Tuesday after he did not report to Seattle’s voluntary workouts. His actions follow an offseason of trade rumors surrounding the cornerback.
Though Sherman is not attending the voluntary workouts and does not have a financial incentive to do so, he reportedly is still on the trade block. But it doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere yet.
NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo reports that the Seahawks’ trade price for Sherman — a first and potential third or fourth-round pick — remains unchanged. He also says no team has come close to meeting Seattle’s trade price.
If things are going to heat up on the trade front for Sherman, it could be during the draft, Garafolo believes. Certain teams’ needs will vary depending on whom they’re able to select in the draft, and they won’t know that until after the first day or two passes.
