Star Lotulelei bum rushes Bucs OL Demar Dotson (Video)
The Carolina Panthers have been dominant defensively this season, holding opponents to a league-leading 13.1 points and 289.8 yards per game. One of the reasons Carolina has had so much success is the play of rookie Star Lotulelei on the interior defensive front.
Lotulelei, a first-round pick out of Utah, displayed his dominance during a win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Note to future opponents — you might want to double-team the 315-pounder. At one point, Lotulelei was able to apply pressure on Bucs quarterback Mike Glennon by bum rushing offensive tackle Demar Dotson and making him look like a high school player.
The Panthers have won an NFL-best eight games in a row and appear to be getting stronger by the week. With guys like Lotulelei in the trenches, they are a legitimate contender.
