Steelers fan celebrated a playoff berth that never was (Video)
The Pittsburgh Steelers almost stumbled their way into the playoffs this season with an 8-8 record. When the Kansas City Chiefs lined up for a 41-yard field goal that could have won the game with four seconds remaining on Sunday, the dude you see above was probably not the only one who thought Pittsburgh’s was a lock for the postseason.
But Ryan Succop missed the kick wide right and the game went to overtime. The San Diego Chargers may have benefitted from a couple of controversial calls, but it doesn’t matter. They won the game in OT and advanced to the playoffs.
I think the dude in the Steelers jacket spoke for everyone in Pittsburgh when he said “What the hell?!” as he watched the Chiefs-Chargers game go to OT. Sometimes 8-8 just isn’t enough — even if it should have been enough.
