Steelers score 21 points in 73 seconds against Texans (Video)

Steelers celebrate

The Steelers-Texans game on “Monday Night Football” changed in a hurry, going from 13-3 Houston to 24-13 Pittsburgh in nearly record time.

Pittsburgh kicked a field goal to make it 13-3 Houston with 7:20 left. Then with 1:27 remaining in the half, Ben Roethlisberger threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to Martavis Bryant:

The Texans then fumbled the ensuing kickoff and recovered, but were backed up to their 5. Arian Foster lost a fumble two plays later and, on their first play, the Steelers scored again, this time on a trick play:

That gave Pittsburgh its first lead of the game at 17-13. Then just when you thought things couldn’t get worse, the Texans had 1:03 left in the half and decided to try to get some points back. But Ryan Fitzpatrick’s first pass was deflected and intercepted by Brett Keisel, who took it to the Texans’ 8. Two plays later, LeVeon Bell punched it in from two yards out to make it 24-13 with 14 seconds left in the half.

Interestingly, the Patriots have the record for scoring 21 points in 52 seconds during the infamous “buttfumble” game with the Jets in 2012. The Pats won that 49-19.
