Teddy Bridgewater to reportedly return in Week 10 at the earliest

Teddy Bridgewater

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater returned to practice this week for the first time in over a year, but it will reportedly be a while before we see him appear in a game.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Week 10 after the Vikings’ bye is the “earliest target date” for Bridgewater to return.

Bridgewater suffered a devastating knee injury in training camp last summer, and he has had an extremely long road to recovery. While he reportedly has no physical limitations in practice, he has been on a pitch count of sorts and will need to practice for at least a few weeks before he is back to game speed.

Assuming he doesn’t suffer any setbacks, Bridgewater could have a starting job waiting for him as soon as he is deemed ready to play. The latest reports we have heard about Sam Bradford’s knee injury do not sound all that encouraging, so Bridgewater could conceivably be healthier than Bradford after the bye week.
