Terrance Knighton retiring, will begin coaching career
The man they call “Pot Roast” is calling it a career — as a player.
Terrance Knighton is retiring and will pursue a career in coaching, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
After eight seasons, DT Terrance "Pot Roast" Knighton is retiring from the NFL at age 30 to pursue a career in coaching, he said. Great run.

Knighton was a third-round pick by the Jaguars in 2009 and made his name in Jacksonville and then Denver. The nose tackle helped the Broncos to the Super Bowl in 2013 — his first season with the team — and was remembered for a big sack on Tom Brady in the AFC Championship Game.
Knighton bounced around the past few seasons. He spent 2015 with Washington and was cut by the Patriots prior to the regular season last year. Nearing 31 years in age, Knighton likely was not receiving much interest from teams the past several months.
