Terrell Suggs could face jail time over car accident charges
Terrell Suggs has been charged with two misdemeanors stemming from a car accident in Arizona earlier this month, and he could face jail time if convicted.
Suggs was arrested on March 4 following a minor car crash outside a Mexican restaurant when police discovered that he was driving with a suspended license. TMZ reports that Suggs also hit a wall with his car and left the scene, so he has been charged with failure to notify after striking a fixture in addition to driving with a suspended license.
If convicted of the suspended license charge, Suggs faces a maximum penalty of six months in jail. He could get 30 days for the failure to notify charge.
Suggs was also fined for failure to control speed to avoid a collision, which is only a moving violation.
TMZ shared some footage of a police officer explaining the charges to Suggs, who seemed annoyed:
While it’s possible, jail time is unlikely for Suggs. Judging by the way he reacted on social media after being booked, he isn’t all that concerned.
