Terrelle Pryor blames down season on ankle injury
Terrelle Pryor had a terrible 2017 season, and he says that an ankle injury is to blame.
Pryor only caught 20 passes for 240 yards last season with Washington before being shut down. That followed a 2016 with the Browns where he had 77 catches for 1,007 yards.
Pryor, now with the New York Jets, says he tore a ligament in his first game with Washington and that threw him off.
“I couldn’t focus on my game because I was worried about my foot,” Pryor said last week, via ESPN’s Rich Cimini. “It took control of my mind. Right now, I’m healthy and ready to get back to form and have a dominant year.”
Pryor isn’t actually healthy. He had a procedure on his ankle this offseason and is now questionable for the start of the Jets’ training camp. He also needs to keep his eyes peeled, because some of his former teammates are looking to send him a message.
